Yesterday I posted about a simple treat involving Hershey’s Kisses, today – in light of the fact that tomorrow is Halloween – I’m doing a post about how to dress like one.
It’s almost silly to post this because the costume is so simple – but maybe it’s worth it for the idea alone? I did this three years ago. Totally last-minute, like most of my costumes are (this year’s was one of my most involved) and easy to throw together. Bonus: It actually makes for a really cute costume.
If you’re a girl who wears a lot of sparkly stuff, this one is for you. Anything in a metallic silver will work perfectly, whether it’s a sequin dress, an embellished top, light gray silk pants, whatever. I went with a long-sleeved silver top, completely covered wioth sequins of course. Depending on how true to life you want to get, you could either pair something like this with some silver leggings a la American Apparel…or you can take some artistic liberty, like I did. I just paired the top with basic black shorts and heels.
Next up comes the hair: Just get a white ribbon, write “KISSES” on it with a blue pen, and tie it up in your hair. I got extra creative and wrote the word “KISS” on my cheek as well when I did this. Feel free to add extra details like that one. If you’re in need of a quick, easy, cheap costume, give this one a spin. And don’t forget to load your (silver) purse up with Kisses to distribute to everyone you see – how’s that for getting into the Halloween spirit?
